About Amrit
Hey! My name's Amrit, I have 3+ years of tutoring experience since 2022, I’m here to help students build confidence in whatever they are learning and achieve lasting success. I specialize in the B.C. curriculum for Grades 6-10, I have helped a lot of students improve their final exam scores by a significant percentage. Whether you want to catch up or aim to get ahead, I will ensure that each lesson is tailored to your unique learning style and goals. I am currently in my second year at UBC studying science so I believe I am more than qualified to tutor these grades and subjects. I love Math and Science, they are my favorite subjects and so I naturally have a knack for tutoring them. A crucial aspect of my tutoring is that I believe in creating a supportive and respectful learning space where students feel encouraged to ask questions and grow, which I strongly feel is very important. I have 3+ years of tutoring experience for both Math and Science, I currently specialize in the B.C. curriculum for Grades 6-10 and plan to do more in the future. I have helped a lot of students improve their final exam scores by a significant percentage. Something unique about my tutoring experience is I believe in creating a supportive and respectful learning space, that way students feel encouraged to ask questions and grow, rather than a more traditional approach. Tutoring is something I take a lot of pride in and I don't mind at all having to explain a concept in multiple different styles or attempts. For me truly I don't feel I've done a good job until I can be sure the student has fully and properly learned whatever it may be they are learning.
