About Payal
I understand how frustrating these subjects can feel when concepts do not make sense at first. I create a calm and supportive environment where students can ask questions freely and never feel judged. I prepare each lesson according to the student’s level and explain topics patiently until they truly understand.
For me, tutoring is not just about finishing homework; it is about building confidence, good study habits, and the ability to approach problems independently. My goal is that students leave each session feeling more comfortable and capable than before.

Hi, I’m Payal, a UBC student who genuinely enjoys helping students feel comfortable with math and science.
I know many students struggle not because they’re bad at the subject, but because it was explained too quickly or felt intimidating. In my lessons, I slow things down and explain ideas in simple language. We work through problems together, and I guide you step-by-step until you can solve them on your own.
I’m very patient and never rush. You can ask questions as many times as you need; that’s what learning is for. I also share small tricks and problem-solving methods that make tests much less stressful.
I teach middle and high school students in Math, Science, Physics, Chemistry, and Statistics, whether you need homework help, exam prep, or just someone to make the topic “click finally.”
My goal is simple: after a few lessons, you won’t panic when you see a math or science question, and you’ll know how to start.
