About Emma

My name is Emma and I'm currently studying an undergraduate degree in English and History in UCD. I decided that this degree was for me simply because I loved both subjects throughout secondary school.

I'm looking into doing my PME next year once I graduate to go into post-primary education and eventually, third-level education!

I also play guitar in my free time and I love to read.

About the lesson

My approach to learning/tutoring would be to cater for students on an individual level - to discuss what they find hard, or challenging in their subject and to focus on those areas with them together, and work through their thought process. The way that I learn may be different to the way that you learn, so it is about what works best for everyone themselves! Every student is different, and so, requires a plan that works best.

The typical length of a lesson would be an hour, and this is available for both Leaving Cert and Junior Cert students. When exams are approaching, 2-3 hour block sessions will be available for Leaving Cert students if necessary. Full exam breakdowns (structure, timing, tips/tricks) are available, and also run-downs through exam questions, how to tackle them, and how to ensure you do your best on the day.

My hourly fee is €15/h, and the payment will be done through Revolut/bank transfer.

If a student would like to book in blocks, that is perfectly okay! The first lesson is free and would be discounted from a block rate.
