About Nick

I am a sophomore honors student at the University of Texas at Austin, currently taking Advanced Calculus II. I have routinely worked to help my peers with our current calculus courses, and I am extremely comfortable with all things algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and calculus. Math all builds and builds on itself, and I have been learning and practicing high level math for years. People learn at different rates, so I have no problems adapting the pacing of lessons to suite individual students. I think it's important that students are provided an environment to learn math without fear of judgement or failure hindering them from focusing on what's truly important: learning.

Lessons begin with a review of whatever the student has been taught in class, where we can go over anything that they found difficult or confusing, and effective strategies for dealing with those issues.
We'll go over all the material, with extra focus on particularly tricky concepts.
To ensure the student understands the material, I first let them attempt practice problems on their own. If they get stuck, I offer hints, and if they just can't figure it out, I will provide them with a logical walkthrough of each step in the problem-solving process, which they can use as a guide to solving similar problems in the future.

Any highschool level math should be no problem, and even college-level calculus should be easy and fun to teach.
