About Yashar

I’m Yashar Sabzevari, a dedicated Mechanical Engineering student at the University of Texas at Dallas, graduating in May 2025. With a unique blend of hands-on project experience and academic achievement, I bring a deep understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of engineering.

Over the past few years, I’ve honed my skills through diverse roles and projects. As Team Lead for the Rocket Design team in Comet Rocketry, I developed expertise in CAD software like SolidWorks and OpenRocket, leading our team to design and 3D print a fully functional rocket. Additionally, in my role as the Chassis Designer for the Dallas Formula SAE Racing team, I engineered a high-strength, lightweight spaceframe chassis that maximized handling and stability—integrating critical components like double wishbone suspension and optimizing the chassis for a balanced strength-to-weight ratio.

Beyond technical skills, I’m passionate about education and helping others achieve success. My experience as a tutor on Superprof has allowed me to work closely with high school students, especially first-generation learners, empowering them with the tools they need to excel in subjects like Algebra and Calculus. I also actively communicate with parents to ensure that progress is achieved, adapting my approach to fit each student’s unique learning style and goals.

With skills spanning mechanical design, rapid prototyping, FEA analysis, and hands-on assembly, I’m eager to continue contributing to projects that push the boundaries of innovation. Whether I’m designing, prototyping, or teaching, I’m driven by a commitment to excellence and a genuine passion for engineering and mentorship.
