About Nick
I am an undergraduate student studying Law (LLB) at Queen’s University Belfast.
It is my aspiration to eventually become a criminal prosecutor.
Due to this, my work studying and analysing text, writing detailed, coherent and analytical essays has continued since my A-Levels. I also continue to write persuasively due to the nature of the degree.
I received grade 9s in both English grades at GCSE, as well as an A grade at A-Level.
My lessons will be structured and comprehensive, but will also be informal, so as to not be intimidating to students, and to establish the best relationship with the student as possible. This will allow them to be as candid with me as their current academic situation and needs as possible, which will mean sessions are targeting their needs as effectively as possible. I believe only being 3-4 years older than my students will help achieve this informality, rather than the less close or honest relationship one may have with a tutor several decades their senior.
Parents / students can express which areas most need to be focused on in sessions, or alternatively I could make and provide small practice assessments in initial sessions to establish what the strengths and weaknesses of a student is on my own accord.
