About James
My name is James, I'm a student from Bristol. I've been writing music for over 9 years and studying music production for 4 years; a two-year Diploma at college and now currently an Honours
Bachelor's Degree at university. I've studied music production thoroughly and know my way around a lot of the software and the subject, from understanding the very basics, to grasping the complexities of sound in physics, to crafting full compositions using experimental methods. I've taught strangers, friends and fellow uni-students about music before and always achieved positive results.
I've produced a variety of music including Dance Music, Hip-Hop and Ambient. I'm also able to use software like Ableton Live, Logic Pro, and FL Studio.

My lessons are almost entirely hands-on but sometimes theoretical, I set up subjects within music that the student would like to learn within my capabilities, and cover each subject for a number of weeks. These can vary from the basics of learning the software, understanding and using sampling and synthesis, analogue and digital sound, sound for film, and basics of music theory.
