About Mia

Hi! I'm Mia, 24, originally from Austria. When I'm not tutoring, I'm either reading my favorite novels, cooking Austrian food, or hanging out with my friends. My career aspiration is to become a solicitor, so I also spend a lot of time working towards this goal.

I tutor because it brings me joy to see my students succeed and pass on my knowledge to others. It also gives me a sense of purpose and lets me live out my nerdy side! My teaching is very holistic and draws from a lot of techniques and approaches I have learned through my studies at Oxford and beyond. I know that everyone requires a different teaching style, so I make an effort to get to know you to maximise your achievements!

I also have a disability (ADHD) and feel passionate about helping others develop strategies to succeed academically, and thrive off the unique strengths that neurodiversity can bring to the table. If you've been struggling and feel that you cannot reach your full potential, let's work on achieving your goals together!

About the lesson

My lessons can be centered around your needs and goals!

I have over 200 hours of teaching and tutoring experience in German, French and Italian. I help students achieve their academic goals (Oxbridge admissions, GCSEs, and A-levels).

I also teach those who want to keep on top of their language skills or pick up a new language. I am an Austrian national and native German speaker and teach German to all ages and aptitudes.

I also have particular expertise in teaching French literature for both university admissions and recreational purposes. Authors I have previously taught include Proust, Hugo, Zola, Flaubert, and Stendhal. I can provide you with masterclasses on specific topics to boost your university applications and practise critical analysis skills.
