About Carikuube
I have been a character designer, a storyboard artist, a children's book illustrator and painter, an artist in the consumer products industry, and a university professor for the past two decades. I am a proud CalArtian and also have a master's from Academy of Art University. I fell into teaching about 10 years ago, thanks to a former film director I worked with, who hooked me up with a teaching gig... it was then that I realized I had a knack for teaching. I have a lot of knowledge in all the subject matter I listed as well as the entertainment industry at large, and if I know and realize that if this is what you want, I will keep you busy and productive and you will produce great work that will get you to your goals. I have worked with many students and helped them get into the schools of their choice. So, if this you want a good portfolio, one you can be proud of, I am here to help and I will be committed to helping you reach your goals.

As an animation and art professor, as well as a character designer and illustrator, I can teach the following subjects and help build your portfolio so you can gain knowledge and personal growth or get into an art program at a university. Or I can also help improve your current portfolio. For the past 10 years, I have taught at the following various universities and have some insight into all of them: University of Southern California Laguna College of Art and Design Chapman University Syracuse University California State University, Fullerton California State University, Northridge Rhode Island School of Design Otis College of Art and Design California State University, Long Beach I assess your skill level and your work before proceeding with a lesson plan, which will be built around your goals, so the level of difficulty can range from easy to intense. Do you want to get into a university? Are you looking to beef up your portfolio? Or are you looking to learn to draw a cartoony style and perhaps create a story? I can teach the following subjects, at the high school or college level and beyond: Adobe CS - Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign Toonboom Storyboard Pro Animation Fundamentals - -from the bouncing ball to dialogue Character Design Visual Development Storyboard Story Development Portfolio Development Perspective Figure Drawing for Animation Drawing in a Cartoony Style Painting and Illustration

Perfect! Caroline is fantastic! Above & beyond our expectations. She truly has the heart of an artist and teacher - very warm, so kind and approachable. My 8 year old son & his friends felt really comfortable learning how to draw along side with her. Her style of teaching is very organic and free flowing. It was a really special and memorable experience and we can’t wait to book her again in the near future! She’s really the best of the best!
