About Isabelle

I can tutor: 
- GCSE Geography
- GCSE History
- KS3 Geography and History (if you want to get a head start)

 A bit about me:
- I currently study Medicine at Undergraduate level.  
-My A levels were Biology, Chemistry and Maths, with 3 A*s. I took AS Level Geography and achieved an A. I took History at GCSE and achieved a 9.
 - I love music too! I sing, play the piano and violin. 
- I was the only student in the year in my school who had 11 9s at GCSE, alongside 2 A*s in Further Mathematics and Environmental Science (the science bits of Geography!)

   Previous tutor experience: 
- Tutored 3 11plus students, 1 KS3 science student and 1 GCSE science/maths student. 
- Have delivered well-received school talks on medical topics as part of Medic/Natural Sciences Society in Sixth Form

About the lesson

Beyond teaching the subject curriculum itself, I plan to teach each student study skills. This way, they can come away from each session feeling empowered to tackle their studies themselves!   

I will utilise practice questions, exam papers, flashcards, diagrams and mindmaps to solidify the knowledge that they need.   

The lessons will be structured depending on the student’s needs, including: 
- Study skills, note-taking 
- Going through queries about their schoolwork 
- Learning in advance of schoolwork
 - Flashcard testing 
Practice questions 
- Exam technique   (Really important for the humanities!!)

Online lessons will take place on Zoom, Microsoft Teams or Google Meets, depending on your preference.  

As my student, you will have access to my original GCSE notes too!
