I believe in a student centred approach, focusing on understanding rather than rote memorisation. I use a combination of direct instruction, interactive problem-solving, and real-life applications to make concepts relatable and engaging. I also incorporate different visual aids to cater to different learning styles.
In a lesson, I typically being with a quick review of previous material or a fun problem to get started. I then introduce new topics using examples and visual aids. We will work through problems together, so I can gauge the student's understanding of the concepts before giving the student some independent questions to work on. At the end of each session, I will give a quick overview of what was learned, as well as, a few practice problems for homework.
I offer tutoring for students K - 10. Whether you’re struggling with basic concepts or preparing for advanced exams, I can tailor my lessons to fit your specific needs and goals.
