  • 1) When did you first develop a passion for music and your favorite instrument?

I developed a passion for music from a young age. My musical journey started at age nine with the recorder, where I learned the fundamentals of music and performance. At age twelve, I discovered the saxophone and committed myself fully to the instrument, beginning a journey that continues to shape my identity as a musician today.
  • 2) Is there a particular type of music or artist that you listen to on a loop without it driving you crazy?

I would say no, because the nature of my work as a music producer and creator requires me to be versatile rather than confined to a single genre. While I have a deep appreciation for Jazz, Amapiano, and Afrobeat, I enjoy exploring and drawing inspiration from a wide range of musical styles. As long as a song is well-crafted and resonates with me, I can listen to it repeatedly regardless of its genre. The same applies to artists. I do not limit myself to one favorite artist. Instead, I admire and learn from many talented musicians, each of whom has earned a special place in my musical journey and continues to influence my creativity in different ways.
  • 3) Explain to us the most difficult or riveting course you could personally give to a student of music.

One of the most challenging yet rewarding courses I could teach is ear training and playing music by ear. Many students find it difficult because it requires them to identify and reproduce notes, melodies, and chords without relying on sheet music. Despite the challenge, it is an exciting skill that develops musical intuition, sharpens listening ability, and helps students become more confident and versatile musicians.
  • 4) What do you think is the most complicated instrument to master and why?

In my opinion, the piano is one of the most complicated instruments to master. This is because it demands a high level of technical skill, coordination, and mental engagement. A pianist must manage both hands independently while also reading complex musical structures, which requires strong brain work and consistent practice to truly master.
  • 5) What are your keys to success?

    God, Consistency and discipline.
  • 6) Name three musicians you dream of meeting in your favorite bar in the early hours of the morning. Explain why.

Three musicians I would dream of meeting in my favorite bar in the early hours of the morning are Kenny G, Charlie Parker, and Louis Armstrong.

Kenny G stands out to me because of the soulful and expressive way he plays the saxophone. Charlie Parker inspires me with his incredible improvisation and I would love to understand how his mind works when creating those complex lines. Louis Armstrong, on the other hand, is someone I deeply admire for his timeless music and the joy he brings through his performances.
  • 7) Provide a valuable anecdote related to music or your days at music school.

During my early days learning music, I struggled with playing melodies by ear and often relied heavily on repetition without fully understanding what I was playing. One day during practice, I decided to challenge myself by trying to reproduce a simple song without looking at any guide or notation. It took me several attempts, but eventually I was able to figure it out note by note.

That moment was a turning point for me because I realized that music is not just about technique, but also about listening deeply and trusting my ear. It boosted my confidence and shaped the way I approach music practice ever since.
  • 8) What are the little touches that make you a Superprof in music?

What makes me a Superprof in music is my patience and attention to detail in teaching. I ensure that every student fully understands each concept before moving forward, no matter how long it takes.

I also motivate and challenge my students to stay consistent and push beyond their limits, helping them stay focused on their musical goals. This balance of patience and encouragement is what defines my approach as a tutor.
