About Declan

As a singing tutor, I design each lesson to bring your unique voice and story to life. My teaching blends technical training with storytelling, emotional expression, and vocal character work—because I believe every note you sing should carry meaning. Whether you’re preparing for solo performances, college auditions, or ensemble work, I’ll help you connect with your songs on a deeper level. We’ll explore acting through song, dramatic timing, and building stage confidence so your performances feel both powerful and authentic. I create an environment that’s warm, focused, and emotionally aware—perfect for students who need structure but also space to express. Some learners need time to build trust with their voice, while others are ready to refine complex repertoire or lead a group with confidence. I’m here to support both. Together, we’ll shape tone, phrasing, and vocal color to match the message behind the music. For those working in choirs or performance groups, I guide students in blending, harmony, and expressive ensemble work. For aspiring majors and soloists, I help polish repertoire, technique, and interpretation with clarity and consistency.

About the lesson

I'm a singing tutor with over 4 years of experience and a Bachelor of Contemporary Music, majoring in Voice. My approach is grounded in compassion, creativity, and care—especially for neurodivergent learners and students managing anxiety. I specialize in creating a nurturing, affirming space where every voice is welcomed and celebrated.

Lessons with me are paced gently, using sensory-friendly vocal exercises and visual prompts to support understanding and ease. I offer calm, consistent routines that foster safety and build trust over time. Genres like Lullabies, Instrumental Vocalizing, and Calming Pop help students connect to music in soothing and expressive ways.

I meet each student where they are—whether they’re just beginning or rediscovering their voice after setbacks. My goal is to help students sing with less tension, more presence, and genuine joy. We explore tone, breath, and phrasing without pressure or overwhelm.
