About Faith
My teaching approach focuses on helping each student develop a confident, expressive, and versatile voice. I cover essential skills such as harmony singing, microphone technique, vocal improvisation, and pop/R&B stylization. These tools help students perform with control, style, and authenticity. Lessons are tailored to each singer’s level, allowing beginners to build a strong foundation while more advanced learners refine technique and expand artistic expression. I emphasize breath control, pitch accuracy, and vocal health to ensure sustainable singing practices. Beyond technical skills, I focus on performance and creative expression. Students learn to sing harmonies, improvise with confidence, and use the microphone effectively for live or recorded settings. I also guide them in developing stylistic nuances and interpretation in contemporary music genres. My goal is to help every singer excel and reach their full potential. I provide personalized exercises, constructive feedback, and encouragement to build both skill and confidence. Together, we cultivate technical mastery, artistry, and stage presence. I am a dedicated singing tutor with over 9 years of experience and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Vocal Studies. My musical journey has been deeply shaped by exploring cultural traditions such as Flamenco, Hindustani Classical, Celtic Folk, and African Spirituals. These diverse styles have strengthened my skills in vocal ornamentation, microtonal expression, and traditional scales. I also specialize in oral transmission techniques, preserving the authenticity and emotional depth of each tradition.
In my lessons, I guide students to connect with the heritage, language, and cultural context of the music they sing. This approach helps learners develop a profound appreciation for global music while nurturing technical and artistic growth. I focus on building expressive, nuanced voices capable of conveying emotion and meaning. From the intricate melismas of Hindustani ragas to the soulful resonance of African Spirituals, every lesson balances precision with feeling.
I believe singing is a bridge between personal artistry and cultural roots. My goal is to help students honor tradition while developing their own unique voice.
