About Amanda
I am a fourth year medical student currently studying for STEP 2. I get the challenges and massive amounts of information that is testable on STEP 1, BUT the better your foundation is now, the easier third and fourth year is. I want to make that transition as easy as possible for you. STEP 1 is now pass or fail but more emphasis will be placed on your STEP 2 score, so the more you understand the material now, the easier it will be to integrate that later. We're all in this for the long game, so invest in that long game!
I was previously an interim UCONN instructor for General Chemistry to high school students, as well as general chemistry at a high school honors level, so I can break down complex information into smaller, more understandable bites, use assessments to create a plan and be able to adapt current curriculum plans to the current understanding.
I have almost decade of experience working in Public Health, roles ranging from emergency coordinator (logistical planning for mass Covid vaccination clinics) and community health education (literally educating the average public community member on health issues that are relevant to them).

Geared towards pre-clinical medical students, I love to teach the theories and principles behind STEP 1 tested material to minimize memorization and maximize critical thinking when encountering an unfamiliar topic.
I am a high scoring fourth year medical student who is extremely familiar with NBME style questions. I have previous teaching experience as a certified UCONN instructor for General Chemistry in a high school setting and more importantly, have been in your shoes.
We can design a custom curriculum to focus on your weakest subjects, pattern recognize, review high yield subjects to get the best bang for your buck. Some resources I use and love are NBME CBSE, UWORLD, ANKI, Pathoma, Sketchy.
