About the lesson

My Teaching Method

I won't just hand you a list of resources. Everyone gets told to use UWorld, NBMEs, First Aid, but almost no one tells you when to actually use them, and that timing matters more than people realize. I went through this exam myself, so I know from experience the point in your prep where each resource actually helps rather than just adding noise. That's what I try to pass on.

I also care a lot about recall, maybe more than most tutors. My philosophy is simple: if you can't revise something, you might as well not read it the first time. So together, we shape a plan around what you'll actually retain, not just what you can get through once.

A Typical Session

We build a study timeline around your exam date, your current level, and your real life, including if you're working clinical hours while studying
I help you figure out what to use and when, based on what actually worked for me
We work through your weak areas together, not just review them
After every mock exam or NBME, we sit down and really look at where you lost points and why, so it means something
We also check in on how you're doing, because burnout is real during this exam. These conversations are never something I'd charge for. That kind of support should just be there when you need it, not something you have to pay extra for.

What Sets Me Apart

I've sat for Step 1, Step 2 CK, and Step 3 myself, so when I talk about timing, pacing, or what to do on exam day, it comes from having lived it, not from reading about it somewhere. I've mentored other students through this process too, and it means a lot to see their scores actually improve. On exam day itself, I'll share the small things that helped me stay steady, like how I paced through blocks or reset after a question that rattled me.
