About Charles

Music makes my lessons feel like a celebration of human capability. I prioritize building a personalized song list built around each student's range. Warm up exercises serve as the foundation for everything we do in the studio.

I emphasize microphone technique as much as I focus on the basics of tone. My U of T background helps me simplify complex concepts for intermediate learners. Kids often enjoy the creative freedom while adults focus on the mechanics of their sound.

We will work through your repertoire until your performance feels authentic and secure. I ensure that every technical adjustment is grounded in healthy practice habits. Working together will allow you to sing with greater ease and total clarity. I always look forward to hearing your progress during our next session.

About the lesson

Being an immigrant parent keeps me constantly aware of how we use our voices to express identity. It is a small honest confession that I sometimes struggle with stage fear myself. My 9 years of experience include working with kids, teens, and adults who need help with breathing control. I bring specific expertise in belting technique and resonance to every session I host.

My U of T education grounds my methods in anatomy and pedagogical science. I have taught a wide variety of students who all share a need for better diction and articulation. Helping you find your head and chest voice is a process I take very seriously.

We will tackle pitch control with patience and technical rigor. I am fully prepared to support your development as a vocalist.
