About Kendra
"A violin rarely sounds beautiful when the player is trying too hard to force a specific outcome. My Postgraduate Diploma in Chamber Music from the Curtis Institute of Music shaped my view that patience is the primary tool for string mastery. I have taught 329 students across 13 years of experience. My time as a performing classical musician taught me that technique serves the music, not the ego.
We focus on ear training, bowing technique, and tuning by ear. Vibrato and double stops become second nature through consistent, steady practice. Scales and arpeggios provide the foundation for every piece we study. Self-taught players wanting structure find my methods precise.
I work closely with intermediate learners and those preparing for grade exams. Monthly progress reports shared with parents provide a clear window into your development. Expect an approach that values deliberate, quiet focus over loud spectacle."
