About Gia

My interest in the violin began when I first heard a violin performance that captured my attention with its expressive sound. I became curious about how musicians could create such emotional music through careful bow control and finger movement. This curiosity encouraged me to study violin seriously and eventually complete a Bachelor’s degree in Violin Performance.

Over the past 6 years, I have taught violin to students with different learning goals and musical interests. Some learners wanted to prepare for performances or music programs, while others simply wanted to explore the instrument for personal enjoyment. Teaching students with different goals helped me develop supportive teaching methods.

My teaching approach focuses on patience, structured learning, and consistent practice. I guide students through exercises that strengthen technique while encouraging them to listen carefully to their sound. Helping learners develop confidence with the violin and enjoy the beauty of musical expression is one of the most rewarding aspects of my teaching experience.

About the lesson

My violin lessons focus on helping students build both technical skill and musical expression while learning this expressive instrument. Playing the violin requires careful listening, correct posture, and precise coordination between both hands. In my lessons, students gradually develop these abilities through structured exercises that strengthen their technique and musical understanding.

Each lesson usually begins with warm-up exercises that help students improve bow movement and finger placement. Students practice scales and simple melodic patterns that strengthen their sense of pitch and coordination. These exercises allow learners to become comfortable with the instrument while building the technical foundation needed for confident playing.

As students progress further, lessons include learning musical pieces and exploring expressive playing techniques. Students practice phrasing, rhythm, and dynamics while performing music from different styles. My goal is to help learners develop strong violin technique while also encouraging them to express emotion and creativity through music.
