About Mabon
Having graduated with first class honours from Royal Birmingham Conservatoire in 2019, I am currently in my final year on the Advanced Instrumental Studies Masters programme at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.
Originally from North Wales, I have performed solo recitals at two International Viola Congresses (Cremona 2016, Rotterdam 2018 respectively) and the Cecil Aronowitz International Viola Festival 2017. I was awarded second prize at the National Eisteddfod of Wales (strings category) 2017, and in the same year selected to participate in the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra training scheme.
I regularly freelance with orchestras such as NEW Sinfonia, Sinfonia Cymru and Dorset Opera, and I was recently invited to perform with Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra. I am currently on London Symphony Orchestra’s string experience scheme for the 2020/21 season.
As a passionate chamber musician, I have performed in Estonia, Italy, Russia and the UK (including performances at Wigmore Hall and the Barbican Centre, London).

My main aim as a teacher is to enrich the lives of my students through music making.
As a professional violist, I have experienced first hand the enjoyment of learning and performing, and it is my passion to share this with my students.
I have experience in teaching both Violin and Viola, and take on students of all ages and ability levels (children and adults) from beginner to Grade 8 and beyond. I also teach Music Theory up to Grade 5.
All my lessons are tailored to suit the needs of each individual.
I am based in Bow, East London and am happy to travel anywhere within reasonable distance to teach.
