About Mackenzie
Tension is usually the enemy of a beautiful sound. You should sing less, not more. By applying the techniques I learned during my BMus at McGill, we identify the subtle habits that prevent your natural vocal range from expanding.
We work on precise diction and articulation through a series of exercises that I have refined over 13 years of private instruction. Because I assign homework vocal drills after every session, you will notice a difference in your pitch control and belting technique quite quickly. My approach integrates breathing control as the primary driver for all musical expression. You are welcome to book a time to explore these concepts in a studio environment.

Holding a BMus from McGill, have you ever considered why your voice feels restricted? My tenure of 13 years includes rigorous training at the Conservatoire de musique du Québec. I spent a long time learning how the physical body influences the resonance of a sustained note. It is satisfying to help adults find their true range and power.
My history as a performer informs how I structure each session for my students. I currently reside in Nice where I enjoy the quiet intersection of classical music and pedagogy. It remains a joy to hear a voice find its own unique color.
