About Troy

I am a passionate and dedicated vocal instructor with a Bachelor's degree in Music and over five years of hands-on teaching experience. My own journey with singing began in childhood, growing through choir performances, solo work, and formal training. This lifelong relationship with music has shaped not only my vocal technique but also my understanding of how to help others connect deeply with their voice. Teaching has allowed me to combine my love of singing with my desire to support and inspire others. I approach each student with patience, care, and a genuine commitment to helping them succeed. Whether someone is preparing for the stage or simply singing to build confidence, I tailor each lesson to meet their goals while making the process enjoyable and rewarding. My experience spans a variety of styles, from classical and musical theater to pop and jazz. This versatility helps me guide students through a wide range of vocal challenges and styles. I place strong emphasis on vocal health, expression, and musical interpretation, believing that a well-trained voice must also be emotionally connected to the music. Outside of lessons, I remain active as a performer and continue to refine my own craft. This allows me to bring real-world insights and energy into my teaching. More than anything, I’m passionate about helping students discover and develop their unique voice—building not only technique, but confidence, creativity, and joy through singing.

About the lesson

Singing lessons are designed to support every voice—whether you're just beginning your vocal journey or refining your technique after years of experience. Each session is tailored to suit your individual needs, vocal style, and musical aspirations. My goal is to create a welcoming and encouraging environment where your voice can grow naturally, at your own pace.

In the early stages, we focus on building a strong foundation through breath control, posture, vocal warm-ups, and basic pitch exercises. You’ll learn how your voice works, how to sing with ease and clarity, and how to avoid strain. These fundamentals are taught through engaging vocal exercises and songs you enjoy, helping you stay motivated and confident.

As you progress, lessons evolve to include range extension, resonance, vibrato, dynamics, and emotional delivery. We’ll work on phrasing, diction, and stage presence to ensure your voice not only sounds beautiful but communicates effectively. Repertoire is chosen collaboratively to reflect your personal taste while also challenging and expanding your skills.

Throughout the journey, you'll gain not just technical ability but also a deeper connection to your own unique sound. Whether you’re preparing for auditions, performances, or simply singing for joy, these lessons aim to build both vocal freedom and artistic identity. The focus is always on helping you become a confident, expressive, and self-aware singer.
