About Abigail
Imagine stepping up to the microphone and feeling entirely comfortable with your own sound. We begin by establishing a consistent physical foundation through breathing and warm-up exercises. I provide free access to my personal notes on these techniques so you can practice at home.
We will move into belting technique or sight singing depending on your specific goals for the day. My classes are structured to build confidence through steady and measurable improvement. I find that when students understand the mechanics of tone and resonance, the artistry follows naturally. Do let me know if you have a specific song you want to tackle during our next meeting.

Coming from a background where I balanced a BA English and a BM Guitar, I often think about how voice connects to language. It is a strange thing to realize that your instrument is always inside you, waiting to be tuned. My work with grade exam candidates and returning learners is all about finding that resonant core. We explore genre styling across pop and classical to find what suits your natural timbre.
I have spent 13 years observing how different bodies produce sound. It is a process. My own experience as a first-generation Canadian informs how I communicate these complex ideas.
I find that students often just need the right framework to feel secure in their own sound. We will work on breathing control and diction and articulation until the technical side fades into the background.
