About Savannah

Hello! My name is Savannah Shea and I am a music teacher, performer and recording artists currently living between Kingston and Toronto.

I have a Bachelor of Music through Humber College and I have been actively working as a performer since 2011. This includes everything from solo, self-accompanied shows of original music, to fronting cover bands, to singing back-ups and wedding gigs. These experiences have taught me a lot about what it means to be confident on stage and in your personal artistry.

I am deeply passionate about songwriting and musical creativity. I have chosen to be a musician because I think music has an unmatched ability to connect and heal people on a small and large scale. As much as I am eager to share what I have learned with you, I am also always a student of music. Our relationship with music is a lifelong and comes with many twists and turns, and it would be my honour to share in your musical journey!

About the lesson

Hello! I am primarily a vocal instructor, songwriting teacher and creative performance coach. I can also teach beginner to intermediate piano, ukulele, and guitar, specifically for the purposes of self accompaniment and writing. Together we can work on confidence and joy through musical creativity and performance, as well as working to find your individual voice through songwriting and composition.

The lessons are largely guided by your goals and can range anywhere from music theory, vocal technique, lyric writing, musical play, expression and release through improvisation, tips for self-accompaniment and much more!

I am open to teaching all ages and levels of experience. I currently have students ranging from age 6 - 60! I believe everyone has the ability to create music and grow through musical expression.

If you have always wanted to explore music but are unsure where to start I am the tutor for you! If you are already in music lessons, or are practicing on your own I can help you reach the next level. If you want to write a song for someone you love on a special occasion I can help you do that! If you are a professional musician looking for feedback and guidance as you work towards the next stages of artistry I can offer you that support.
