About Isla

My teaching approach centers around celebrating small wins and building strong, healthy vocal habits that last. I design vocal warm-ups and daily drills tailored to each student’s needs, making practice both effective and enjoyable. We use note tracking and lyric analysis to deepen understanding and keep progress clear and exciting. I know fear of failure can hold singers back, so I focus on building confidence step by step with plenty of positive reinforcement. Together, we break goals into manageable pieces, and I encourage celebrating every milestone—big or small—using goal charts or personalized practice playlists. Some students thrive with clear structure and routine, while others flourish through inspiration and creative exploration. I adapt my teaching style to fit both, making sure lessons stay motivating and fun. Whether you love steady progress or enjoy discovering new vocal colors, I’m here to guide you.

About the lesson

I’m a singing tutor with over 6 years of experience and a Bachelor of Music in Musical Theatre Voice. I specialize in helping actors, dancers, and public speakers enhance their vocal clarity, projection, and stage presence. My lessons focus on vocal articulation and breath dynamics to ensure your voice carries with strength and control. Confidence drills are a key part of my teaching, designed to build your self-assurance one step at a time.

I love guiding students through expressive storytelling, helping them connect emotionally with their material. Whether you're performing in Musical Theatre, Spoken Word, or Performance Poetry, I tailor techniques to fit your style and goals. For dancers, I integrate voice work that complements movement, creating a seamless performance experience. Actors and speakers benefit from improved tone, rhythm, and engaging delivery.
