About Evidence

My name is Evidence Jonel, and I’m a private vocal coach specializing in helping singers develop real control, confidence, and a sound that’s truly theirs.

I’ve trained quite a number of students. I focus on _function_ can you sing what you hear in your head without strain, and can you do it consistently?

I teach because I believe every voice deserves personal attention.

Group classes and generic tutorials assume every throat, lung, and ear works the same. They don’t. The fastest breakthroughs I’ve seen — in myself and my students — came from 1-on-1 work where we could isolate the real problem and solve it directly.

I’m not here to make you sound like me. I’m here to help you sound like the best version of _you_. That means building technique around your goals, your songs, and your voice type. No fluff, no wasted time.

My approach to private vocal coaching: 100% built around you

Group classes teach to the middle. YouTube teaches to everyone. I teach to _you_.

After working with beginners, church soloists, and working artists, I learned this: the fastest progress happens when we stop guessing and start customizing.

Here’s what working 1-on-1 with me looks like:

1. We diagnose, not generalize*
First session, I listen to your voice and your goals. Then I throw out every exercise that doesn’t serve those two things. If your issue is breath control, we don’t spend 3 weeks on vibrato. We fix the foundation.

2. Real-time feedback you can’t get from a video
I hear the split-second when your throat tightens. I stop you, adjust it, and get you to feel the right way immediately. That feedback loop is why private students improve 5x faster — you never practice mistakes for months.

3. Accountability + song-based training
We train using songs you actually want to sing. Afrobeats, gospel, R&B, classical — your playlist becomes your workout. And because we meet weekly, you’ll practice. I’ll know if you didn’t.
