About Shobha
After completing my Master’s Degree in Botany with a specialization in Microbiology, I started my career as a microbiologist. I worked for several years in a biotech company, extracting extracellular fungal enzymes for pharmaceuticals. I then took a break from work to complete my second Master’s Degree (M.Phil.) in Microbiology and Genetic Engineering. While trotting around the globe due to my husband’s job, living in different countries, and becoming culturally rich, I took on the role of a homemaker for all the formative growing years of my two beautiful daughters, who are now based in New York and RI. I'm passionate about Math and Science, and I have been teaching for the past nine years, among which I owned a preschool for some time and worked in other international schools in India.
I am passionate about science and math. If you don’t find me looking for fun activities in these two subjects, you will see me cooking, doing some embroidery, listening to music, learning yoga, and watching films and shows, as these are some of my other favourites too. Having lived in a surfeit of places, not only in India but in the U.S., the U.K, and Dubai as well, I have learned to become more open-minded and flexible.

I have a M.Sc and M.Phil. degree in Microbiology and was working as a scientist in a Biotech Company.
