About Leanna

I am a third-year law student here in London, and I approach every task with dedication and commitment. There are two main reasons I am eager to teach French. Firstly, I miss speaking the language regularly. Immersed in an English-speaking environment, I often find myself longing to use French more in my daily life. More importantly, my experience as a mathematics tutor for two years showed me how much I enjoy teaching. I consider myself creative, patient, and dedicated—qualities I believe are essential for being an effective tutor

About the lesson

Over the years, having attempted to learn over 3 foreign languages alone, I am confident I have found what works best. I would structure my lessons in the following way: Firstly, there would be some theory, which would involve looking at conjugation, grammar and vocabulary. I think it is also necessary to implement practice in real life with both listening and writing exercises. I would then finish the lesson with a conversational exercise so that the student gets a feel for the language and develops an ear for it, which I believe to be crucial.
