About Jordan

I am from the United States of America and I am a native English speaker. I speak some German and Spanish but I am currently learning Hungarian. My childhood was spent in the UK. I then moved back to the US where I've resided for 22 years, moving around the States.

I teach kids and adults from beginner level to more advanced levels. I enjoy making lessons very fun and engaging, especially for beginners, but adults as well.

Since moving back to the US, I've had 2 kids, a 17 year old and a 4.5 year old, and have traveled all over to many places with them. I am very patient and understanding to the needs of each individual.

About the lesson

"Who said Learning English can't be fun"

I understand everyone learns differently and at their own pace and I look forward to helping you on your journey of mastering the English language!

During an initial conversation, we would determine your level of English fluency and learn about your objectives. I will then create a curriculum and tailor it to your specific needs to help you reach your goals.

My classes are communicative, relaxed, and based on my students' specific needs, goals, and interests. We might touch on some grammar points if needed, but the lessons are not grammar focused. (Of course it can be for exam preparation) My classes center around communicative tasks. I might also use videos, audio files, and interesting articles or texts that will help you improve your vocabulary, listening skills, and use of English.

Perfect! Jordan is my favorite English teacher so far. He’s broad-minded, well-read, and really well informed. He always comes prepared and shows genuine interest in what we’re working on. He also patiently answers all my random and overly nitpicky grammar questions. He structures the lessons and sends materials in a way that we both think helps me improve as efficiently as possible. And I think he has a great sense of humor too.

Jordan végtelenül kedves, segítőkész és rengeteg türelemmel fordul mindenkihez. Minden esetben alkalmazkodik a tanítványaihoz. Nagyon élvezetes, beszédközpontú órákat tart, amelyben természetesen helyet kapnak a különböző nyelvtani tényezők gyakorlása és elsajátítása. Az órái által olyan magabiztosságot kaptam, ami rávilágított hogy ez a kulcsa az egésznek. Jordant személyesen is ismerem, és nagyon sokat segített abban hogy ne féljek angolul megszólalni. Tisztán és érthetően beszél, szépen kiejti a szavakat, könnyű megérteni, és nagyon türelmes. Mivel ilyen jól megértem őt, nagyon szívesen beszélgetek vele. Egy idő után azt vettem észre hogy már nem zavar hogy meg kell szólalnom angolul.
