About Elijah
I am a 6th grade teacher with experience teaching 3rd grade and tutoring all levels from K-12th in various subjects. I have 2 years formal teaching experience and 5 years personal tutoring experience with over 30 students. I have a degree in English Literature, but have taught Math, Science, History, and other subjects.

I teach by finding a base level of understanding through associating ideas, and then progressing to new material. I prefer Socratic seminar style discussion for the humanities, while focusing on call-and-response memory techniques for mathematics and the sciences. Each student learns differently, and I am happy to adjust appropriately.
