Chinese is different from English because Chinese characters are pictographs. Therefore, during class, I place a strong emphasis on explaining the structure of characters, as well as the understanding of phrases and sentence structures. I also focus a lot on the practical application of Chinese in daily life, and my students all really enjoy my Chinese lessons.
