About Quinn
With over 8 years of experience teaching guitar both in-person and online, I’m passionate about helping students explore and create their own music. I hold a Bachelor of Music in Guitar Performance with a focus on Contemporary Styles, which has shaped my approach to both playing and teaching. My lessons emphasize not just technique, but the art of composing, arranging, and expressing original musical ideas. I specialize in guiding students through harmonic concepts, melodic invention, and basic counterpoint—all applied directly to the guitar. Whether you're writing your first song or refining complex compositions, I provide structured support tailored to your goals. I also help students record basic demos, giving them tools to capture and share their creative work. My teaching is flexible, warm, and centered around each student’s unique path. I’ve taught learners from complete beginners to professional-level players aiming to compose with greater depth and clarity. We’ll work together to build both skill and inspiration in every session. If you're ready to bring your musical ideas to life, I’d love to help you discover the joy of creating your own guitar music.

My guitar teaching approach is centered on connecting theory with real playing. I focus on helping students understand how music theory lives on the fretboard. We explore scales, modes, and chord construction in a way that’s clear, hands-on, and easy to apply. I use exercises and visual patterns to make harmonic analysis simple and useful.
Whether you're learning a solo, composing a progression, or analyzing a piece, I show how theory shapes every sound. I work especially well with players aiming to master either rock improvisation or classical structure. Each lesson is tailored to your musical background and goals.
You’ll learn how to move smoothly between theory and creativity, building a strong foundation for improvisation and songwriting. My goal is to help you see the fretboard as a map—not a mystery. We take complex ideas and break them into steps you can use right away.
With consistent support and thoughtful guidance, you’ll build fluency, confidence, and musical freedom. Let’s unlock your potential by making theory your most powerful tool.
