About Hugo
I am a passionate violin tutor with 11 years of teaching experience, working with high school students, college learners, and adults. Over the years, I have successfully taught around 300 students, helping them grow from beginners to confident performers. My teaching philosophy is based on patience, consistency, and encouragement. I believe every student learns at their own pace, so I adjust my lessons to suit individual needs and goals.
I focus on building strong fundamentals such as posture, bowing technique, and tone quality, while also making lessons enjoyable and engaging. I include exercises, songs, and practical techniques to keep students motivated.
One of my key achievements is helping many students perform confidently in recitals and exams. I also guide students in overcoming stage fear and building musical expression. My goal is not only to teach violin but also to develop confidence, discipline, and a love for music in every student.

My teaching methodology focuses on helping students truly understand how music works while learning the violin. I explain concepts like rhythm, pitch, and expression using simple real-life examples so students can relate easily. Instead of rushing, I guide students step by step, making sure they are comfortable at each stage.
I pay close attention to posture, bow movement, and finger accuracy, as these are very important for good sound. I also observe each student carefully and adjust my teaching based on their strengths and areas to improve.
I encourage open communication so students feel free to ask questions and express their thoughts. I provide regular feedback and help them set small goals for steady progress. I follow honesty, patience, and responsibility in my teaching. Along with violin, I also support students with music theory, listening skills, and rhythm practice.
