My career started after a Bachelor of Music degree. My teaching comes from how I was taught throughout my career. Choosing the right song, core strength, song interpretation, safe technique and self confidence, these are the building blocks.
Professionally I sung in various genres: Opera, Baroque, Jazz, and Broadway.
We begin by discussing your goals.
We then explore where you voice is today through vocal exercises
I start off gently, my goal is to leave you feeling encouraged, not discouraged.
The songs I start you off with may appear "basic" but as the saying goes "you must learn to walk before you can run"
Regardless of what genre you want to sing, these building blocks are the same.
I want you to enjoy healthy singing for a long time, not unhealthy habits.
Most importantly, my lessons are a fun experience!
