About Julie
Sometimes I find that performance nerves are simply energy waiting to be channeled into a song. My lessons feel like an honest conversation about the mechanics of resonance and rhythm. I focus on stage fear management for absolute beginners and advanced hobbyists alike. We review performance recordings together each month to track your specific growth.
My BFA training dictates the focus on healthy vocal habits. It is quite hard. We make it simple. Your voice is a unique instrument that deserves careful development.

Graduating from Concordia with a BFA in Music Performance gave me the tools to refine the human voice through deliberate practice. I recall the first time a student realized their own chest voice was capable of such rich resonance after weeks of diligent warm up exercises. My 13 years of experience in the industry allow me to mentor hobbyists and grade exam candidates with equal care. Diction and articulation are not just technical markers but essential components of how we communicate emotion.
