About Richard

Teaching for almost 20 years, first English as a second language overseas, then as a qualified mathematics and science teacher, I have taught both primary and secondary. I am currently teaching digital technologies and HPE at a high school in Townsville. I live on Magnetic Island and love music, surfing, skiing, and playing video games with my kids sometimes too.

About the lesson

I’ve never had a student who couldn’t surprise themselves with what they can actually learn and understand.
I love working one-on-one as it allows the student to ask the questions they want to, which help them develop their own personal understanding of the concepts.
Also immediate feedback on doing worked problems removes the frustration of not knowing where errors were made.
