About Barbara
You are a musician looking for a structured path forward on the guitar. I have guided 74 students through the complexities of this instrument over the past 8 years.
My approach centers on your individual progress through reading sheet music, rhythm guitar, fingerpicking, and maintenance. We will cover tuning, reading tabs, and songwriting techniques. You can expect to master chord transitions, scales, modes, and power chords with ease.
My background includes rigorous grade exam prep to ensure you have a solid foundation. I enjoy watching students gain technical control and musical confidence over time. It is a pleasure to see your skills expand. Happy playing.

Instruction flows naturally when we focus on the mechanics of the instrument. Playing the guitar should feel intuitive and rewarding from the start. I incorporate my BM Songwriting degree from Berklee College of Music into our technical work to keep your practice grounded in real music. We maintain a 6.0 rating for our sessions to ensure you receive the highest quality of feedback.
You will see how fingerpicking patterns and scales serve your overall sound. I keep our technical drills linked to the songs you want to play. This method helps you retain information while building a deep connection to your playing. I look forward to our first session together.
