About Lea
I sometimes struggle to explain how naturally the violin fits against the shoulder. My career involves working with 84 students to help them find that same comfort.
Kids and self-taught players often come to me wanting a clear, logical structure. I focus heavily on intonation, rhythm, and timing to build a solid foundation. My background includes 7 years of experience teaching violin.
I incorporate scales, arpeggios, and double stops into every session. These skills provide the backbone for orchestral playing and advanced theory.

When you arrive for your first session, we will examine how your posture creates tension before we even touch the bow. Because I hold a Bachelor of Music from The Juilliard School, I draw upon rigorous conservatory standards to refine your bowing technique. You will receive free bowing and posture reference notes after each lesson to ensure that your practice sessions remain productive and guided throughout the week. My approach integrates music theory alongside physical discipline to help you understand the internal logic of your pieces.
Absolute beginners often find that this combination of visual notes and technical correction accelerates their progress significantly. By focusing on the intersection of body awareness and musical notation, I help you develop a clear, resonant tone.
