My approach as a tutor is defined by a strong commitment to helping my students succeed academically and beyond.

Using my over 30 years’ experience as a professional developer in companies such as CISCO, Verizon, NetApp, NCR, etc to show how to become a professional developer and how to manage the launch into your career and how to thrive at it.

And anyone I tutor will have my number and my permission to reach out and ask me any questions about how to make a great career out of IT. Effectively I will give Career Coaching to anyone I have tutored.

About the lesson

My approach is centered around creating an engaging and effective learning experience for my students. I believe in tailoring my teaching methods to the individual needs and learning styles of each student, and I prioritize fostering a positive and supportive learning environment. Here's a breakdown of my approach:

Typical Lesson Plan:

Introduction: I start by discussing the objectives and why the topic is relevant. Placing the subject matter in real world scenarios to provide context to the topic

Concept Explanation: break complex ideas into smaller segments, using visual aids, diagrams, or demonstrations when appropriate.

Interactive Learning: During this time I use the paired programmer example where we work together on the task. Students work on exercises or problems that reinforce the concepts learned during the lesson., relevant tasks or projects to allow students to apply what they've learned independently.

At the beginning of the next lesson, we briefly review the previous material to reinforce retention and understanding.

What Sets Me Apart as a Tutor:

Each student is unique, and I tailor my teaching to their specific needs and learning style.

Adaptability: I'm flexible and adaptable, always willing to adjust my methods to ensure the student's success.

Clear Communication: My ability to explain complex topics in a simple and relatable way sets me apart. I ensure that students not only grasp the material but can also apply it effectively.

I keep my students engaged and motivated through interactive learning and by relating lessons to real-life applications.

I provide continuous feedback and support to help students track their progress and overcome challenges.

I'm genuinely passionate about teaching and helping students reach their full potential. My enthusiasm for the subject matter is contagious and inspires a love for learning in my students.
