About Philip

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Sciences (Physics & Chemistry) from ETH Zürich, and I have over 12 years and over 6000+ hours of experience tutoring students in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. I mainly work with secondary school students (Years 7–12) and first-year university students. I’m very passionate about these subjects and enjoy making complex concepts clear and engaging. I try to help students not only understand the material but also build confidence and problem-solving skills. Whether you’re preparing for exams (ATAR, VCE, HSC), need help with challenging topics, or want to improve your overall understanding, I can provide tailored lessons to meet your goals.

About the lesson

Limited offer:
Although I have over 12 years of experience as a tutor, I am new to the Superprof platform. To build my local presence here, I am offering lessons at a reduced rate for my first 5 students.

Time:
I can offer lessons from monday to friday from 5 to 10pm (Sydney time).

Lessons typically last 60 minutes or multiples thereof.

I conduct lessons via Teams, allowing you to join from anywhere.

My teaching style is student-centered: we focus on the questions you bring and the material provided by your teacher, which I can explain, clarify and expand upon if desired. I can also provide additional learning materials, exercises, and practice problems to help you strengthen and apply what you’ve learned.

To get the most out of the lessons, it’s a good idea to find a way to capture and share what you’re writing (I can help you with a suitable setup). My approach is about helping you through problems and developing problem-solving strategies together, not just lecturing for an hour.
