About Russell
Pacing is entirely dependent on your individual comfort level and vocal stamina. You will start every session with warm-up exercises to ensure your instrument is prepared for the work ahead.
I emphasize vocal health and care to keep you performing safely, whether we are working on belting technique or sight singing. My training at McGill provides the technical grounding to help you manage stage fear effectively. I focus on making the mechanics of resonance intuitive for kids and adults. Consider how your own voice reacts to the space around you. Through my Master of Arts in Music Education from McGill, I learned that vocal health is the foundation of every great performance. 8 years of experience has taught me that stage fear is a common hurdle for many singers.
I work with kids, returning learners, and grade exam candidates to normalize the experience of finding resonance. My personal narrative involves helping people find their footing through music and language. I keep my approach gentle and focused on the long-term sustainability of your vocal cords. You can expect a clear, methodical path toward better tone and harmony singing.
