About Philip
Warm notes filling a quiet room define the start of our singing practice. The atmosphere is quiet. I provide free access to my breathing and warm-up exercise notes for every student to use at home. We focus on vocal range extension and vibrato control through the RCM standard.
My ARCT expertise allows me to bridge the gap between classical technique and modern musical theater. Rhythm and phrasing are the pillars of our work together. We practice until the tone feels effortless. Resonance is not accidental.
It is a result of consistent, thoughtful practice. Enjoying the progress is important.

Singing requires a delicate balance of physical control and artistic expression. I vividly remember the precision required during my ARCT vocal training at Schulich. I have spent 13 years refining how to teach breathing and resonance. We work on the mechanics of head and chest voice to ensure your range is fully accessible.
My lessons cover everything from genre styling in pop and classical to intricate harmony singing. I help students manage stage fear by providing a solid technical foundation. My background in violin and piano informs how I approach rhythm and phrasing for every singer I work with. Teaching is a process that requires patience and steady guidance.
