About Melanie
I have over 30 years of experience as a Maths teacher (and HoD) including GCSE, iGCSE, AS and A level. I have worked with learning support groups, run Maths clinics and given individual tuition for over 12 years. I have been concentrating solely on on-line tuition for almost 2 years.

Building confidence and developing an ‘I can do’ attitude is my main aim, as I believe these are essential to exam success. Patience and a sense of humour work well with my subject knowledge and years of experience to deepen a student's understanding of this subject.
I plan every lesson to suit the individual needs of each student. I do not tutor back to back lessons and so not only do I have time to focus on quality planning, but I also never need to cut a lesson off exactly on the hour.
I use Google Meet (or Zoom) for video calls and Bitpaper for a highly efficient interactive white board. This allows full participation from the student and also provides notes and examples that can be accessed at anytime.
