About Tania

EXPERIENCED PRIVATE TUTOR (4+ YEARS) | 500+ HOURS TAUGHT | HSC SPECIALIST | LAW CLERK AT KING & WOOD MALLESONS

My name is Tania and I am a final-year university student studying a double degree in Law and Advanced Science (Honors) (Major in Neuroscience) at the University of New South Wales. I graduated with a 97.60 ATAR and achieved a 97th percentile ranking in the UNSW Law Admissions Test (LAT).

Combining the disciplines of law and neuroscience has enabled me to be extensively involved in both the humanities and sciences throughout my university studies. Over the past 4+ years, I have provided 500+ hours of personalized tutoring in English Advanced, Mathematics Extension 1, and Chemistry. My students have gone on to achieve 99+ ATARs, Band 5/6 HSC results, and university scholarships.

About the lesson

My focus is not only on improving marks, but on shaping the way students think: strengthening their analytical skills, problem-solving ability, structured thinking, and academic confidence. I aim to cultivate curiosity and a genuine interest in what students are studying, ultimately empowering them to feel both capable and engaged.

I provide specialised tutoring that enables students to excel while building strong academic foundations. I have high-quality resources, notes, and curated past paper questions to ensure students develop a thorough understanding of key concepts and refine their exam technique through effective consolidation.

I have also delivered specialised HSC English workshops in schools through Elevate Education. Through this experience, I developed a strong understanding of the HSC syllabus, marking criteria, and the strategies that differentiate Band 6 responses. In addition, my broader teaching experience includes piano and swim coaching, allowing me to adapt my teaching style to different learning needs and personalities.

I am also an active facilitator and judge with UN Youth and the UNSW Law Society, where students participate in competitions designed to develop diplomacy, teamwork, debating, public speaking, problem-solving, critical thinking, and leadership skills.
