About Blanca
Students preparing for ABRSM or Trinity grade exams often require a disciplined approach to master scales, arpeggios, and ear training. My 13 years of instruction focus on building solid posture, hand position, and coordination to ensure that students perform with confidence. I have taught a wide variety of learners over the years while developing essential skills like hand independence, pedaling, dynamics, and expression for both classical and pop styles. Improvisation and accompaniment skills are integrated into my methodical teaching framework to ensure that students can read music and play by ear effectively as their technique slowly improves.

"Sitting down at the bench for the first time reveals the mechanical relationship between your fingers and the keys through the alignment of your wrists. This initial free trial lesson is structured to map out your specific goals while assessing your current level of technique and musical understanding.
We will explore how proper posture and pedalling technique create a foundation for playing jazz or classical pieces with stylistic accuracy. My background as a graduate of the Glenn Gould School informs how I introduce complex concepts like dynamics and expression to beginners. Fifteen years of teaching informs my process for balancing technical drills with the joy of musical performance. This systematic approach ensures that you gain the necessary skills to play the music you love."
