About Ernest
Having completed my Artist Diploma at the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music, I find that teaching feels much like composing. I cover barre chords, tuning and maintenance, reading tabs, and reading sheet music for all levels. Songwriting and power chords often appear alongside fingerpicking and scales and modes.
My approach includes acoustic technique and grade exam prep. After 13 years in the industry, I have seen many students achieve their goals. I enjoy the quiet focus of a morning practice session best.

You start by playing through a song on the very first day. The process remains simple and direct.
I integrate the theory from my Artist Diploma into practical movements. My 13 years of experience ensure that we keep moving forward without unnecessary jargon.
A practice module comes with every lesson to keep momentum high. You will see progress that you can actually hear. I enjoy building a bridge from the couch to the stage. See you at the instrument soon.
