About Erik
I'm a 26 year old who started doing standup on the side in 2017 while working in Boston. Since then I've worked in 9 states and have tried to immerse myself in the local standup as much as possible everywhere I've lived. In 2018 I took 4 months off to travel the US in my RV and stopped in most of the large cities between Florida and Oregon to try to do as many mics as possible, including for one month in LA where I did about 3 mics a day and essentially did a dry run of treating it as a full time job to see if it was something I wanted to purse. That month finished with me auditioning for a show at a local comedy club which I was booked for and went really well. After that I got a very time intensive job in NYC but would still try to get as much stage time and practice as I could on the weekends and after work, but was only able to do about 2 mics a week durring the 9 months that I was there. That obviously all ended with COVID and I haven't done any standup since but hope to start again as soon as things reopen. Right now I'm back home near Winston Oregon for at least the next couple months working to convert a sprinter van I bought into an RV to travel in the spring.

Full disclosure I haven't worked as a standup tutor previously, but do have a lot of experience running group trainings and roleplays for work. I'd like to shape the lessons to the trainees individual needs, whether that's developing a stage presence, writing techniques, timing & pace, crowd work, or any other area that needs work.

Details
Since I'm kinda out in the boonies of Douglas County I'd prefer if the lessons where longer rather than shorter because my drive time is likely to be 2+ hours round trip. Skype lessons I'm happy to do if they're shorter though.
