About Carlota

Carlota is a pop/soul vocalist & songwriter based in London, UK. She was born in Porto, Portugal and moved to London at 17 years old. She later graduated with a vocals degree in Popular Music Performance form BIMM Institute in 2017.

Carlota demonstrated a passion for music at an early age, thus leading her to start taking piano lessons at the age of 9.
Later on, she began taking private music theory lessons at the age of 13, as well as private singing lessons.

Over the next few years, Carlota would perform at several venues across Porto and the UK, including Tribeca Jazz Club (Porto), The O2 Forum and The O2 Academy and O2 Forum in Kentish Town.

At just 17 years old, she moved to London with the aim of improving her skills and knowledge in singing & composing and to dedicate her time in building a career un music.

On her last year of university, Carlota - along with vocal group Vocalities - were chosen to perform at the brand new TV Show 'Pitch Battle' which premiered on BBC One in June 2017.

I offer one-to-one contemporary voice lessons taught in South West London.

I will teach you:

-to develop your vocal range;
-learn about and/or improve different voice techniques and vocal effects;
-broaden your singing repertoire, learning to perform in a variety of genres (pop, rock, soul, jazz);
-vocal health & taking care of your voice;
-sight reading;
-stage performance;
-microphone technique,

Whilst tailoring each lesson around the student’s potential and desires.
