About David

I started tutoring maths as a side job over 6 years to keep me going through University. Along the way, I realised that I really enjoy connecting with students, helping them solve problems and grow! I have continued to tutor in the evenings now that I am in full time employment.

About the lesson

My approach:
- I like to get hands on with a subject and walk students through a problem like it's a story.

Lesson length:
- I usually take lessons of around 1 hour but I'm happy to consider other lengths.

My qualifications:
- Masters in Mathematics with Computer Science from QUB.
- A* in A level maths.
- 8+ years experience tutoring maths.

What levels to I take:
- Any range up to and including A-Level maths.

Perfect! David was a great help to me when I was studying for my maths gcse, he is engaging and friendly and very easy to speak to. He is very knowledgeable and was able to provide me with a high level of support. He is able to explain things in a clear and in depth way that really helped when I was struggling with a topic, and I would always end up feeling a lot more confident after finishing a lesson. I was resting at a C throughout the year and ended up getting an A* with his help and encouragement, I would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for a maths tutor!!

Our son went from a B to an A* in his gcse in maths due to the tutoring and confidence that David gave him in maths. Our son is autistic and the patient with each topic from David was invaluable.
