About Kai
"Technical foundations are essential for growth. I have spent 13 years guiding students through the intricate French tradition of violin pedagogy. My own formal training at the Manhattan School of Music informs every interaction I have with my 1000 students.
I hold a Bachelor of Music in Violin with piano as a second study. This extensive background allows me to support advanced learners and self-taught players seeking clear structure. I remain focused on the long road of musical development and the quiet discipline required to succeed."

"Posture and hold are rarely the root of a bad sound. Most players actually struggle with tension hiding in their upper back during difficult passages.
Using my split screen setup, I provide a clear view of my bow arm and left hand position throughout the lesson. We work through scales and arpeggios, bowing technique including spiccato and staccato, double stops, and rhythm and timing. I supplement this by providing a monthly progress report shared with parents so everyone stays informed.
